Though we were on the road earlier than we planned, decided to just make it to near Roseburg OR.

Driving up I5 isn't much more than this;















But we ended up in a nice park "On The River" in Winston

Check off, Count down

Today is for last minute packing and locking down the homestead for the rest of the summer as we head northward. Traditionally it is the day that I get wigged out about having everything "just right", but this time preparations were done so far in advance that I am ready for it to be over.

The Blog

Well this is my first attempt at entering the blogoshpere. I am using our upcoming Alaska adventure as the impetus for creating a journal, something I have no inclination for. It will be intermittent as posting will be done through available wifi along the trek.

The day after tomorrow we will drive off from home in our Pleasureway Sprinter conversion RV. Our initial destination will be Bellingham WA to catch the Alaska Marine Highway ferry northward.
